He had better nap...

Do any other moms out there just want to strangle their children when you KNOW they're tired and yet they refuse to nap??? God, I have one bloody hour a day to get stuff done. And I'd like to say that when Eric naps I sit back on the couch with some hot cocoa resting on my pregnant belly while watching Dr. Phil. But the truth is that hour of Eric's afternoon nap is the ONLY time during the day when I can get anything done. I can no longer vacuum- it wakes him up and he starts to cry. I can barely do laundry- he gets into everything so I have to use the dreaded playpen. I hate wasting my precious time doing chores, but when else will they get done?? And God, to think that it will get WORSE when number 2 arrives! I hate being a woman. I think every woman on earth goes straight to heaven. And all men get reincarnated as women.

That is why I am a horrible Mom whose kids go to daycare all day while she is at work. The kids get to play and have structured learning, and I get some sanity. Sometimes after 3 or 4 day weekends I am so excited to go back into work! (I know.. bad mommy)

I remember that stage of Ellie's life - it was compounded by her only napping ON me! Just pray you never get your appendix out, then you can't lift either of them for a while!!!! :) (sound a little better than where you're at ;-)?)

Evie keeps changing where she'll nap. At first she'd nap in her Boppy, then she started waking up after 1 minute in it. Then she'd nap in her moses basket. Now she wakes up almost immediately when we try to put her in it. Right now she's been napping in her swing, but it's starting to lose effect. I just don't want to go back to her always napping on me! I am tired of watching CNN for 8 hours per day! :)

I also hope all men get reincarnated at women. LOL Even though I'm not a mom, I definitely sympathize with all the other moms! I have been able to see women around the world, and I agree that they have it rough.

kellymb- Not a bad mommy. You're a mommy who is able to balance self and family. I am still learning this, and I find myself giving far more to my husband and child, thus leaving me feeling used and empty. This is no one's fault but mine. I'm learning... (it's a steep learning curve)

Emma- You're in my thoughts and prayers, hon. I had no idea you read my blog! :-) Hope that you are able to get some time to relax in the midst of all the craziness.
